Ellie Morgan: Forty-five year old brunette widow.  Usually a humble woman, very attractive, but not completely aware of how she's perceived by men.  Sold out for God and wants to do big things for Him as an expression of her faith.
Thomas Morgan: Ellie's first husband.  Ellie and Thomas had a successful, happy 25 year marriage.  Thomas was a retired school teacher who passed away as the result of a serious, quick on-set illness.
 Jackson Dawes: Wealthy businessman from pain filled, dysfunctional family.  Jackson meets Ellie at a charity function and is so fascinated by her he sets out to learn more about her.

Rico: Head of Security for Jackson at Dawes' Incorporated.
Mandy Persinger: Fashion school student who helps Ellie put together her wardrobe for her new life.
Peyton Stanley:  Well known and respected attorney from Georgia.  Ellie hires Peyton to help her navigate her new city life, as well as, her new fortune.
Harcourt: Jackson's chauffeur.  Harcourt is ex-military and is extremely loyal to Jackson and Ellie.  Harcourt's wife's name is Gina.
Tyson, Tyler and Timothy:  Ellie's grown sons.  All are college graduates.  Tyler and Timothy are twins.
Mallory McCullough: Lab tech who assists Ellie in her recon efforts.
Sarah:  Jackson's highly competent administrative assistant.
Drs. Templeton, Roberts, Gilmore and Wesner:  These are the medical folks who care for Jackson and Ellie.  Can't tell you more without spoiling the plot!
Branson Montpelier:  Thirty-nine year old native Australian.  Branson is ex-military, is Jackson's best friend
and the highest ranking member of Jackson's security force.
Matthew and Julia Dawes:  Jackson's parents.  Matthew died when Jackson was seven, leaving Jackson as sole heir to a business empire.  Julia wears her wealth and privilege like armor, wielding them mercilessly toward Ellie.
Delores Erickson:  President of Dawes' Incorporated Board of Directors. 
Salvadore Timione:  Forty-two year old Hispanic man, sitting member of Jackson's Board of Directors.
Kanika and Tyreke:  Neighborhood children who participate in the community garden established by Ellie.
Montgomery and Stinger:  Men who work with Jackson and Branson on their security detail.
Sonya Harper:  Pretty Blonde woman, thirty-five years old.  Introduced as Branson's girlfriend, but her story grows from  there.

Marcus Pierce:  African American Chief of Chicago P.D.  Approximately sixty-two years of age.
